Sarah Boila is an artist and designer whose work spans mediums of photography, painting, and making.

 

Born in 1992 and raised in Winnipeg, her career began technical, completing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering followed by a Master of Science in Structural Engineering at the University of Manitoba. She would later move to Vancouver, where her career intentions refocused towards design, completing a Master of Architecture at the University of British Columbia. Throughout her final years of studies her work strayed from its practical and technical beginnings, finding a new footing in the conceptual.

 

Having travelled to 30 countries, her education and professional direction have equally been shaped by lived experience. Now working as a designer and holding time for personal artistic explorations, her work focuses on context, feeling, and an appreciation of the everyday.
